Hexbin hit map

A hexbin visualization of page hit data provided by Fwd Compliance. Darker red means more visits from cities within that hexagon. You can hover over each individual hexagon to get more information on visits from cities within the hexagon. You can use the slider to adjust the hexagon opacity to get a better of view of the states.

Interactions

• Drag the slider to increase or decrease the opacity of the hexagons and reveal the map beneath more clearly.
• Hover over a hexagon to display the a table of the cities within that hexagon and number of page hits for each city.
• Scroll or pinch to zoom in.
• When zoomed in, drag to pan.
• Viewing window is restricted.

I think this is the best of three maps that I built to visualize the Fwd Compliance data. The other two are bubble maps.
